The Faculty of Philosophy is a member of the University of Banja Luka, which has started working In 1994, inheriting the tradition of the Teachers' School founded in 1925, the Higher Pedagogical School (founded in 1950) and the Pedagogical Academy (founded in 1969).
At the Faculty of Philosophy, social sciences and humanities are studied through study programs: Philosophy, Psychology, Pedagogy, History, Teacher Education and Preschool Education.
Through innovative teaching process, productive scientific research work and additional extracurricular activities activities develop critical thinking and student achievement and acquire applicable modern ones knowledge, academic and educational skills and abilities, which enable quality work in practice and better understanding social reality.

The Faculty of Philosophy in Banja Luka was founded in 1994, when the first generation of students was enrolled. Today, the Faculty of Philosophy has six study programs: Philosophy, History, Pedagogy, Psychology, Teacher Education and Preschool Education.
